    2. AUSCAM Borehole Television System:

The AUSCAM operates on your four conductor logging cable, ideal for visual inspection of borehole, including:
    • Looking for blockages in water wells.
    • Geological inspection and logging.
    • Viewing sources of contamination.
    • Identifying damaged casings or screens.
    • Locating lost pumps or tools.
    • Inspecting encrustations.
    • Verifying the success of repairs and cleaning operations.
    • Assisting in the feasibility of rehabilitating old wells.

Auscam is fitted with a standard four conductor tool head and can be used with your existing geophysical logging winches utilising four conductor cable.

The Auscam system is very simple to operate, consisting of the downhole camera and surface control unit with video picture monitor. Add a domestic video recorder to complete the system and allow clear sharp colour images to be recorded to a depths of 300 metres, and Blacl and White images in excess of 500 metres*. An audio input is also provided so the operator can record a voice commentary.

A choice of either a high resolution Black & White or Colour CCD (digital) cameras are available, both are coupled to a wide-angle lens fitted with an automatic iris.

Imposed onto the video image are depth measurement and hole identification, this is displayed on the monitor in real time, and may be recorded using an economical domestic video recorder in either NTSC or PAL format for play back at a later date.

*The video signal cannot be run without loss of picture quality through more than 500 metres of four conductor logging cable.
