The Gamma-Gamma probe includes a gamma ray source in the tool and is based on the backscattered gamma-gamma technique. Overall chemical content or ore or ash content of coal is obtained from rations of spectral window intensities recorded in the lower energy region and high energy region of the gamma ray spectrum. Density of formation is determined from the total count rate recorded above 180keV.The probe can be useful for the following applications:
